CNN Proves they are Biased

One only needs to change channels between the big three cable news networks to find out which one is the worst in any given story. As the Trump administration continues it’s crackdown on illegal immigration, it’s been covered in depth by all of the MSM, and all of them give their usual bias spin on the topic. What I found interesting was how far CNN went in fulfilling their agenda driven lean to the left.

The video is from YouTube user News Channel

Take notice of the news banner. It’s states “HUNDREDS ARRESTED IN IMMIGRATION RAIDS ACROSS U.S.” This is 100% inaccurate as ICE did not arrest immigrants, they arrested illegal iimigrants, undocumented immigrants. But despite this, CNN is continually misrepresenting the story both in type and when reporting. Their anchors and “expert” pundits all leave off the words that describe the immigrants being “arrested” (detained, deported).

CNN was Unbiased for Almost 5 Minutes on 2/28/2017

For all of 5 minutes CNN was actually non-biased, some could even say leaning right, immediately after President Trump’s joint session speech on 2/28/2017. In fact, Van Jones actually praised Mr. Trump stating “at that moment he became President.” when commenting on a moment in which President Trump acknowledged Mrs. Owen, the US Navy Seal who died during the recent raid in Yemen.

The video is from the CNN YouTube channel.

After this commentary, the entire expert panel seemed to agree and even go further that yes, Mr. Trump is being Presidential, the speech was his best to date. But then the flagships of CNN stepped in to bring the left agenda shoveling network back to the path they’ve been on for years. Jake and Wolf were quick to swoop in and correct this strange concurrence of reporting the news fairly, thank god.

Time to Change the Electoral College?

< !DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/loose.dtd">

Is it time for a new amendment abolishing the Electoral College? After the 2016 Election many Americans believe it is. America is the only country that uses this process to elect their leader. In all other democrat locations, the popular vote is used to choose a leader of the nation. Let’s begin by first looking at the system in place.

The Electoral College is a process, not a place. The founding fathers established it in the Constitution as a compromise between election of the President by a vote in Congress and election of the President by a popular vote of qualified citizens.

The Electoral College process consists of the selection of the electors, the meeting of the electors where they vote for President and Vice President, and the counting of the electoral votes by Congress.

The Electoral College consists of 538 electors. A majority of 270 electoral votes is required to elect the President. Your state’s entitled allotment of electors equals the number of members in its Congressional delegation: one for each member in the House of Representatives plus two for your Senators.

The Right and Left Use Science Only When it Fits Their Agenda

< !DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/loose.dtd">

Everyone has heard some sort of debate on climate change. Whether it’s cause is human or natural, how fast it’s occurring or if we can change the direction of it. one thing is totally clear, science has proven that climate change is occurring and has been for some time.

Trump One Ups Obama’s Media War

2/24/2017, the Trump White House barred CNN, L.A. Times, Daily News and a few other media outlets from today’s White House Press gaggle. In their absence Briebart News, One America News Network among others were invited in.

While this is a direct omission from a White House press gaggle in lieu of the daily briefing, it’s not the first time a President avoided or bashed a media outlet. That being said, one must wonder why this is occurring and how large of a restriction of freedom of the press this is.

Let’s try by first looking at this report by CNN, from the YouTube user TrumpTruthWatch.

Brooke begins by delivering the facts about what is going on. She tries to explain what a press gaggle is, but is slightly off. Brooke states that a gaggle is:

An informal gathering of reporters, print, radio, television coming together to be briefed in this case by the White House. You’ve seen the pictures, lot’s of reporters are included in that.

However, a press gaggle is:

A press gaggle (as distinct from a press conference or press briefing) is an informal briefing by the White House Press Secretary which (as used by press secretaries for the George W. Bush administration) is on the record, but disallows videography.

“Gaggles” historically refer to informal briefings the press secretary conducts with the press pool rather than the entire press corps….they were more or less off the record, and their purpose was mostly to exchange information – the president’s schedule and briefing schedule, from the administration side; heads-up on likely topics or early comment on pressing issues, from the news side…. (from Wikipedia).

So during a press gaggle, far less reporters are present than a daily briefing or a full press conference. So she and CNN are a tad off in this claim.

Jake Tapper Crosses the Anchor-Commentator Line

On February 15, 2017 Jake Tapper of CNN’s “The Lead with Jake Tapper” crossed the line between news anchor and commentator. While reporting on a statement President Trump gave earlier in the day during a joint press conference with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Jake chose to not only comment on the answer, but take large jabs at the President showing two past examples of then candidate Trump’s conspiracy theories he voiced during the campaign.

As a response to the search of more news, there has been an explosion of non-mainstream media organizations on the internet over the past 5 years or so. During the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election many of the popular websites received a large amount of coverage like never before. So much so, that some of them are not categorized as “Fake News” by the MSM.

You can find the first post in this 2 part series at: The News (Media) Today, Part 1.

MSM Logos

The “news” today is vastly different than ten, twenty and surely thirty years ago. We are, or should be, lucky to live in an age where we can be instantly updated with the latest news 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by merely turning on the television. Not to mention the internet, smart phones, and social media. We really are at the buffet of information in the internet world. However, we need to look out for the green eggs !

2016 U.S. Election – Welcome to the Fog of Reality

2016 Final Electoral Map

2016 Final Electoral Map (source: Business Insider)

Early on the morning of November 9, 2016 my eyes were opened wide. During the previous year and a half, I had been following the main stream media’s(MSM) coverage of the Presidential Election more closely than I have ever followed one in my life. This was due to my increased interest in the American political system and because the MSM made it seem that it was the only news that was occurring in the world.
